1. Description of Service

Kiswah is an Islamic lifestyle application that provides:

• Prayer times and Qibla direction based on your location.
• Prayer streak tracking.
• Quran reading with audio recitations.
• An AI-powered Islamic companion for informational Q&A.
• Salah Lock, a feature that blocks distracting apps during prayer times.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier

The App offers limited functionality for free, including basic prayer times, Qibla direction, Quran reading, streak tracking, and a limited number of daily AI messages.

Kiswah Premium

Premium features (Salah Lock, unlimited AI messages, Quran audio) are available through an auto-renewable subscription.

• Free Trial: New subscribers may be eligible for a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged.
• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Your subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.
• Managing Subscriptions: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Account Settings or through the App Store.
• Price Changes: Subscription prices may change. We will notify you in advance of any price increases. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be directed to Apple per their refund policies.

4. AI-Generated Content

The AI Companion feature uses artificial intelligence to generate responses to your questions about Islam.

• Not a Substitute for Scholarly Guidance: AI responses are for general informational purposes only. They are not fatwas, legal opinions, or authoritative religious rulings. Always consult a qualified Islamic scholar for matters of religious practice and jurisprudence.
• No Guarantee of Accuracy: We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content. Responses may contain errors or omissions.
• Content Moderation: The AI is designed to provide respectful, balanced Islamic content. We reserve the right to modify, limit, or discontinue the AI feature at any time.
• Usage Limits: Free users are limited to 5 AI messages per day. Premium users are limited to 30 messages per day.

5. Prayer Times and Qibla Direction

Prayer times are calculated using the Aladhan API based on your geographic coordinates and your selected calculation method. Qibla direction is calculated using your device's compass and GPS.

• Accuracy: While we strive for accuracy, prayer times and Qibla direction are approximations. Factors such as GPS accuracy, device compass calibration, and calculation method may affect results. Always verify with local mosque timings for critical observances.
• No Liability: We are not liable for missed prayers or incorrect Qibla direction resulting from inaccuracies in the App.

6. Salah Lock (Screen Time)

The Salah Lock feature uses Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls API to block apps during prayer times.

• Permissions: This feature requires Screen Time authorization on your device. Kiswah cannot see which apps you use or access any personal activity data.
• No Guarantee:App blocking relies on Apple's APIs and may not work in all scenarios. We are not responsible for failures in app blocking.

7. Quran Content and Attribution

Quranic text displayed in the App is sourced from publicly available translations and Arabic text databases. We make every effort to present the Quran accurately and respectfully. If you notice any errors, please contact us.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality.
• Use the AI feature to generate harmful, hateful, or misleading content.
• Circumvent any usage limits or access controls.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and trademarks in the App are owned by or licensed to Kiswah. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App without our written consent.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KISWAH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, MISSED PRAYERS, OR RELIANCE ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kiswah, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Kiswah operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
